Troubleshooting | Electric Control Box The Electric Control Box can sometimes be a little tricky so, we have laid out some simple step by step tasks to help you troubleshoot your item and get you back on track. If you don't see what you are looking for here, please take a look at our " Support " page or, you can visit our " Contact " page and drop us a line. Thank you. To ensure everything is connected properly, we will start with a few standard check. All Robart gear is designed to work on a 7.4V-9V system. Please ensure you are using the correct battery and it is fully charged. If you are using a higher voltage battery, you MUST use a 9V regulator. Make suure the dip switches on the control box are set to the proper setting. Rule of thumb. Unless the gear is tagged with something, set to "B" Make sure you are using all Robart gear and accessories. Using homemade extensions or other brand extensions could cause damaging issues and will void the warranty. Ensure the jumper is properly placed in the auxiliary battery location or, you have an auxiliary battery plugged in. Scroll below to see more about the jumper and its role. Next, lets test the gear to see if you have a bad box or a bad actuator Unplug all gear and make sure the jumper is in place. Plug in one of the gears onto the first port. Follow the instructions to turn this on. If the retract works, following the turn on and off instructions, test the other three ports as well. If it doesn't work, try another gear. If one of you gear is working in all the ports and one is not, you likely have a bad actuator. If all the gear are not working on an individual port, you likely have a bad control box. If none of the gear are working and you are getting a green light, it could be both the gear and the control box. Please use the troubleshooting below as well to help narrow down your testing. What does it mean when I see two blinking red lights? This is an indication that there is an issue with your jumper. The jumper must be in place if you are not using an auxiliary battery. The location of the jumper is the same on both item #177 and item #177-RETRAX . Click on your control box to view this setup. Product Return Terms & Conditions We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will be happy to accept your return (if purchased directly from Robart) within 30 days, under the following terms: Return Policy Returned merchandise must be in unused condition and in its original packaging. The mounting of retracts, air tanks and air valves constitutes “used merchandise”. Most returns will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. Returns in poor condition may be refused or the restock fee may be increased to cover the cost of repairing and repacking the product to new condition. When packing your merchandise for return, please be sure all of the original packing materials and instruction sheets are included. Please note if an item is damaged in transit due to improper packaging, you may be charged for parts and labor to repair the item to new condition. Please provide the following information in your return either typed or printed legibly. Returned items are not guaranteed that the product will be accepted for an exchange or return. Freight is to be pre-paid on all returns unless you call to receive special authorization from Robart Mfg.. - A copy of your original invoice if purchased through a robart licensed dealer or distributor. If purchased directly through robart Mfg., please include your Invoice number or order number. - Your name, address, phone number and email address, if purchased anywhere other than directly through robart Mfg. Freight charges will not be refunded. The customer is responsible for insured shipping back to our facility. Please ship back by a tractable shipping company. (i.e. UPS or Fed-Ex) All warrantied products will be returned freight free within the United States. All warrantied products returned outside the US will incur a shipping charge to have the product shipped back. Returns sent COD will be refused. Sorry we can’t accept returns on Custom Made Retracts or Struts. In addition modifications made by customers will void the warranty and returns will be refused. Defective Merchandise If you receive a defective item please call us for return instructions. In most cases, we will accept the return and either fix or replace the item if warranty applies if returned within the 1 year from date of shipping applies. Please send a copy of the receipt along with the defective merchandise. Damaged Merchandise If a package has been damaged in shipping and it is apparent, please refuse the delivery. If you already accepted the package and discover that it has been damaged please call us immediately at 630-584-7616. Do not wait. There is a limited amount of time we can file a claim for damaged in shipping items. Please send all returns to the following address. Electric Air Pump Troubleshooting Please follow the information below for warrantied replacement pumps. WARRANTY All Robart items are warrantied for 1 year from date of shipment as long as they are undamaged from the customer and purchased directly through Robart or through a licensed Robart dealer with proper documentation. Robart does not provide technical suppor t for our electric air pumps. If you feel you have a pump inoperative due to manufacturer error, and, it falls within the Robart warranty, please use the following instructions to return to us for testing and replacement. Mail your pump. a copy of your receipt and your name, mailing address, email & phone number to the following address: Robart Mfg Attn: Warranty Replacement 155 Oswalt Ave. Batavia, IL 60510 Once your pump arrives and is processed in, it will go to the repair department for testing. Should there be any concerns, a Robart customer service representative will contact you. If the return is indeed a manufacturer defect and falls within 1 year from date of purchase from licensed Robart dealer, we will process a warranty claim to send you out a new one. Once this ships you will automatically receive an email with a tracking number and another email with a copy of your new receipt.
