    Terms & Conditions Please review these policies carefully as they are the terms of sale that govern your purchases on the Robart Mfg. website. They set out your rights and obligations with respect to your purchases, including important limitations and exclusions. Your placement of an order on the Robart Mfg. website constitutes your agreement that these policies apply to the order, so be certain you understand them before you place your order. All transactions between all customers, and Robart Mfg. whether via phone, fax, email, mail, online, or other means fall under the directive of these policies unless expressly noted on your sales order, and approved by Robart Mfg. Management. While Robart Mfg. may assist you in placing your order, you (the customer) are ultimately responsible for ensuring all information found on your order is correct. U.S. Sales Robart Mfg. accepts orders from most billing addresses within the United States and most United States territories. ​ Outside U.S. Sales Robart Mfg. accepts orders from most billing addresses outside the United States. If your country is not listed on our website, please fax your order with credit card details to 630-584-3712. ​ Payment Methods Robart Mfg. allows you to make your purchases using any of the payment methods described below. Please read our policies carefully, especially with respect to payment methods, befor e you place your order. ​ Credit and Debit Cards Whether you order online or phone your order to Robart Mfg., you may pay by credit or debit within the accepted card type. When you provide Robart Mfg. with your card information, Robart Mfg. will obtain a pre-approval from the card company for the amount of the order, which may result in a corresponding block (temporary hold)on your available credit in the purchase amount while the pre-approval remains in place. Robart Mfg. will not bill (permanently capture) your credit card or process a transaction under your debit or check card for the appropriate shipment amount until your order ships. An exception to this practice will be deposits for specialty gear, special order product, or other items that require a deposit. (A deposit will be captured at the point of order and not shipment.) ​ The Robart Mfg. website accepts Discover, MasterCard, and Visa credit or debit cards associated with a billing address that matches the credit or debit card. ​ Most debit cards have daily spending limits that may substantially delay the processing of your order. ​ Robart Mfg. requires the credit or debit card security code for your card for any telephone or online purchase to protect against the unauthorized use of your credit card by other persons. The security code is an individual three- or four-digit number specific to your card that may be printed on the back of your card, on the signature panel (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). ​ PayPal: PayPal will pull funds immediately from you account once the order is place. ​ Sales Tax: In addition to the price of your purchases, Robart Mfg. will charge sales tax based on upon the shipping address and the sales tax rate in effect at the time your order is billed/shipped. (This is governed by Robart being registered in that particular jurisdiction. Currently, sales tax applies to Illinois residents only.) If you phone in your order, the Robart Mfg. Sales Representative will provide an estimated dollar total of your order including tax and any applicable shipping charges at the time you place your order. If sales tax applicable and the appropriate chargeable sales tax rate changes prior to shipment, the sales tax rate charged will be the legal tax rate at time of shipment. The proof of purchase that Robart Mfg. includes with your shipment to you will include any applicable sales tax. ​ Order Processing: The estimated shipment date on your order is based on product availability, payment processing time, and warehouse processing time which does not include transit time. Robart Mfg. does not initiate payment processing or shipment until Robart Mfg. receives all of the information that it needs and full payment or a full authorization, in the case of credit or debit cards. Robart Mfg. will begin processing orders within 24 hrs. of placing order. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day. If your order contains multiple items, there could be a possibility of some items being backordered. For Alaska & Hawaii, shipping is an estimated amount of $45.00 and will be billed at actual plus a $2.50 handling fee. Products shipped via standard FedEx Home Delivery Ground service are normally delivered within 5 to 7 business days after shipment. FedEx Home Delivery Ground Service delivers from Tuesday to Saturday. Transit time is generally dependent upon geographic proximity to Robart. 2-Day FedEx Air Shipping: (U.S. Only) (Tracking) For an additional charge, Robart Mfg. offers this expedited shipping option for most products. Products shipped via two-day service prior to 2:00 p.m. Central Time are normally delivered by 5:00 p.m. local time two business days after shipment. This option will be charged at actual shipping charges plus a $2.50 rush processing fee. 3-Day FedEx Express Saver Shipping: (U.S. Only) (Tracking) For an additional charge, Robart Mfg. offers this expedited shipping option for most products. Products shipped via three-day service prior to 2:00 p.m. Central Time are normally delivered by 5:00 p.m. local time three business days after shipment. This option will be charged at actual shipping charges plus a $2.50 rush processing fee. Next Business Day FedEx Shipping: (U.S. Only) (Tracking) For an additional charge, Robart Mfg. offers this expedited shipping option on most of Robart Mfg.’s products. Products shipped prior to 2:00 p.m. Central Time via Next Business Day service are normally delivered by 5:00 p.m. local time one business day after shipment. Next Business Day delivery is not available for orders shipping to Alaska and Hawaii. This option will be charged at actual shipping charges plus a $5 rush processing fee. International Mail: (Outside U.S.) (No Tracking) This option is an estimated amount of $34.50 more or less on all qualifying products shipped outside of the United States. Products shipped via International Mail are subject to duties and taxes and are usually delivered within 8 to 10 weeks days after shipment, not guaranteed. This option will be charged at actual shipping charges plus a $5 special handling international fee. NOTE: By selecting this option processing time my take an additional 3 - 5 days. ​ ​ 3 – 5 Day FedEx International Express Shipping: (Tracking) For an additional charge, Robart Mfg. offers this expedited shipping option on products shipped to international locations. This option is an estimated amount more or less on all qualifying products shipped outside of the United States. Products shipped prior to 2:00 p.m. Central Time are normally delivered by 4:30 p.m. local time within 3 – 5 business days after shipment. Products shipped via FedEx International Express Shipping are subject to all duties and taxes. All orders totaling over $500.00 US Dollars will be shipped via FedEx International Express Shipping. This option will be charged at actual shipping charges plus a $5 special handling fee. ​ Remember that these estimates are for time in transit only, and that they do not apply until the product leaves Robart Mfg.’s facility. As the delivery of your order is beyond Robart Mfg.’s control once your order leaves Robart Mfg.’s facility, Robart Mfg. cannot assume liability for late deliveries, regardless of the delivery method you specify. ​ All shipping prices are estimates only and actual shipping charges will depend on the state or country on where the items are being shipped to. ​ DISCLAIMER for International Orders & Shipping ​ Duties & Taxes: Import duties, taxes and brokerage fees are not included in the product price or shipping and handling cost and it will be collected upon delivery from the carrier. Once your order has been prepared for shipment or has shipped, we are unable to change the shipping address. Title and risk of loss to all products will pass to you on delivery. Please note that for deliveries that require a signature, if you are willing to assume the risks of delivering your order without a signature, you may authorize Robart Mfg. to arrange for a delivery that does not require anyone to be at the delivery address. ​ Undeliverable Packages: Occasionally packages are returned to Robart Mfg. as undeliverable. When the carrier returns an undeliverable package to Robart Mfg. Mfg., please contact Robart Mfg. at 630-584-7616 to make arrangements for reshipment. Note: Additional Shipping Charges May Apply ​ Failed Delivery Attempts: Most of Robart Mfg.’s carriers make three attempts to deliver a package. After three delivery attempts, the carrier will return the package to Robart Mfg. Return and Refund Policy: If you are not satisfied wit h your Robart Mfg. purchase of a product, please visit online at www.robart.com/support for a Return Authorization form (RA#). ​ If the item is returnable and you send it back to us unopened in the original packaging, Robart Mfg. will offer you an exchange or refund based on your original amount and method of payment. You must return the product to Robart Mfg. within 14 calendar days of the issuance of the RA#. All products must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging, including any accessories, manuals, documentation, and registration that shipped with the product.     RMA Robart gear and accessories are warrantied for 1 year from date of shipment when purchased direct or, through a licensed dealer with a copy of the receipt for manufacturer defect. If you purchased your items outside of Robart and are looking for a return, you MUST contact the seller. Robart does not accept returns unless purchased direct with the allotted time period. For additional repair and return information, please use one of the sections below. Product Repair Terms & Conditions Warranty & Non-Warranty Repairs All items should be well packed to assure that no damage is incurred during shipping. Please insure when shipping your item back for repair. Use a shipper that has a tracking delivery service. (i.e. FedEx) Robart is not responsible for damage incurred during the shipping process. Robart will contact you either by phone or email upon completion of an estimate to get your authorization to repair. If you believe any of your items may be covered under warranty, be sure to include a copy of your receipt to allow for warranty consideration. Repair Labor Rate is $60.00 per hour with 1/4 hour as the minimum labor charge. Terms & Conditions All merchandise is the responsibility of the shipper until it arrives at Robart. Robart is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit to Robart. Warranty only applies as described by the product manufacturer and on products accompanied by a dated receipt. Warranty items are to be shipped prepaid back to Robart. All warrantied products will be returned freight free within the United States. All warrantied products returned outside the US will incur a shipping charge to have the product shipped back. Warranty repair or replacement decisions are at the sole discretion of Robart Mfg. Collateral damage is not covered by manufacturer warranty. All charges for repair parts, labor, shipping and other fees are your responsibility. All items sent in for estimated repair and no work is performed will be charge a minimum $14.75 shipping charge to send the item back. Once items are repaired and you are contacted you will have 30 days to make arrangements for payment and shipping. Non-payment of repairs can result in confiscation of equipment. Product Returns Credit or Exchange Returning Items We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will be happy to accept your return (if purchased directly from Robart) within 30 days, under the following terms: Return Policy Returned merchandise must be in unused condition and in its original packaging. The mounting of retracts, air tanks and air valves constitutes “used merchandise”. Most returns will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. Returns in poor condition may be refused or the restock fee may be increased to cover the cost of repairing and repacking the product to new condition. When packing your merchandise for return, please be sure all of the original packing materials and instruction sheets are included. Please note if an item is damaged in transit due to improper packaging, you may be charged for parts and labor to repair the item to new condition. Please provide the following information in your return either typed or printed legibly. Returned items are not guaranteed that the product will be accepted for an exchange or return. Freight is to be pre-paid on all returns unless you call to receive special authorization from Robart Mfg.. - A copy of your original invoice if purchased through a robart licensed dealer or distributor. If purchased directly through robart Mfg., please include your Invoice number or order number. - Your name, address, phone number and email address, if purchased anywhere other than directly through robart Mfg. Freight charges will not be refunded. The customer is responsible for insured shipping back to our facility. Please ship back by a tractable shipping company. (i.e. UPS or Fed-Ex) All warrantied products will be returned freight free within the United States. All warrantied products returned outside the US will incur a shipping charge to have the product shipped back. Returns sent COD will be refused. Sorry we can’t accept returns on Custom Made Retracts or Struts. In addition modifications made by customers will void the warranty and returns will be refused. Defective Merchandise If you receive a defective item please call us for return instructions. In most cases, we will accept the return and either fix or replace the item if warranty applies if returned within the 1 year from date of shipping applies. Please send a copy of the receipt along with the defective merchandise. Damaged Merchandise If a package has been damaged in shipping and it is apparent, please refuse the delivery.     Phonetic Alphabet NATO Phonetic Alphabet The NATO phonetic alphabet is a Spelling Alphabet, a set of words used instead of letters in oral communication (i.e. over the phone or military radio). Each word ("code word") stands for its initial letter (alphabetical "symbol"). The 26 code words in the NATO phonetic alphabet are assigned to the 26 letters of the English alphabet in alphabetical order. ​ Each word is chosen because it CANNOT be confused for any other word when said, hence the reason it is used to help people spell words over phones or radio. It began with the introduction of voice-communication over radio signals. ​ Sometimes you will hear someone use the word "Apple" instead of "Alpha". In the English language alone, there are 43 other words that sound just like apple. out of those 43, over half of them also sound like other words starting with other letters. Does the Robart website reflect Live Inventory? We do not. We understand that not all modellers have the ability to go into a local hobby shop and purchase their items so, in an effort to make as much Robart Gear & Accessories available to all modellers, Robart sells direct approximately 3,000 of the 10,000 items we manufacture. Our website shows all these items but due to the constant larger distributor orders we are not able to keep live inventory numbers online. If the item number you are looking at says in stock, this means this item is an item that we sell a lot of and we DO try to keep it in stock but occasionally we do run out. If the item says "OUT OF STOCK", this means that this is only made to order. We do this because we want every modeller to have the opportunity to order exactly what they want but, because it is a very rarely ordered item, we cant manufacture and stock the item knowing it will not only take up shelf space but will also cause price increases due to wasted material and available material for regularly stocked items. Normal operating pressure is between 80 psi. - 110 psi. After checking pressure and gear, if your system is still not working properly you may need more air volume. Adding a larger air tank or a second air tank may cure the issue. What kind of lubrication do I use in the air system components? Use white lithium or silicone grease only. Using other oils or types of grease will destroy the “o”-rings in the air system and void the warranty. There are only 2 components of the Air System that will need further lubrication: 1. retract mechanism air cylinder “o”-rings, and 2. air control valve “o”-rings.     Troubleshooting | Electric Control Box The Electric Control Box can sometimes be a little tricky so, we have laid out some simple step by step tasks to help you troubleshoot your item and get you back on track. If you don't see what you are looking for here, please take a look at our " Support " page or, you can visit our " Contact " page and drop us a line. Thank you. To ensure everything is connected properly, we will start with a few standard check. ​ All Robart gear is designed to work on a 7.4V-9V system. Please ensure you are using the correct battery and it is fully charged. If you are using a higher voltage battery, you MUST use a 9V regulator. Make suure the dip switches on the control box are set to the proper setting. Rule of thumb. Unless the gear is tagged with something, set to "B" Make sure you are using all Robart gear and accessories. Using homemade extensions or other brand extensions could cause damaging issues and will void the warranty. Ensure the jumper is properly placed in the auxiliary battery location or, you have an auxiliary battery plugged in. Scroll below to see more about the jumper and its role. ​ Next, lets test the gear to see if you have a bad box or a bad actuator ​ Unplug all gear and make sure the jumper is in place. Plug in one of the gears onto the first port. Follow the instructions to turn this on. If the retract works, following the turn on and off instructions, test the other three ports as well. If it doesn't work, try another gear. If one of you gear is working in all the ports and one is not, you likely have a bad actuator. If all the gear are not working on an individual port, you likely have a bad control box. If none of the gear are working and you are getting a green light, it could be both the gear and the control box. ​ Please use the troubleshooting below as well to help narrow down your testing. What does it mean when I see two blinking red lights? This is an indication that there is an issue with your jumper. The jumper must be in place if you are not using an auxiliary battery. The location of the jumper is the same on both item #177 and item #177-RETRAX . Click on your control box to view this setup. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will be happy to accept your return (if purchased directly from Robart) within 30 days, under the following terms: Return Policy Returned merchandise must be in unused condition and in its original packaging. The mounting of retracts, air tanks and air valves constitutes “used merchandise”. Most returns will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. Returns in poor condition may be refused or the restock fee may be increased to cover the cost of repairing and repacking the product to new condition. When packing your merchandise for return, please be sure all of the original packing materials and instruction sheets are included. Please note if an item is damaged in transit due to improper packaging, you may be charged for parts and labor to repair the item to new condition.
